Christmas Release 2025: The Most Important New Features at a Glance
Our Christmas release 2025 is here – and as every year, we're delivering a package of features that will noticeably improve your day-to-day work with projectfacts. More clarity, more speed, more efficiency.
1. Billing – more control, less manual work
1.1 Subtotals as a basis for percentage positions
From now on, subtotal positions can be generated from any positions or entire sections and used as the basis for percentage positions.
This makes it possible to model even complex order structures cleanly – including correct down-payment and final invoices.
1.2 New percentage price tiers
Automatic discounts from certain quantities? Now possible.
Example:
- from 100 units → 10 %
- from 200 units → 20 %
In addition to open and closed tiered prices, flexible percentage price tiers are now available – ideal for extensive quotes.
1.3 Cumulative invoices & retention amounts
New: the cumulative invoice, which shows the total amount earned to date at any time and automatically takes previous invoices into account.
Particularly useful for large projects or construction projects.
Additionally, there are two types of retention amounts:
- for the process
- for the warranty
Both can be combined.
1.4 HOAI wizard – now even more versatile
The HOAI calculator has been extended. New:
- Define surcharges as a percentage
- Include ancillary costs for the total amount
This significantly reduces manual post-calculations.
1.5 Price lists with new filters
Price changes can be implemented more quickly. New:
Position types can be specifically included or excluded when updating.
Example: Fixed prices remain stable, time-based positions are updated.
2. Time tracking – faster booking, more flexible working
2.1 Quicktimer
One click in the sidebar – and the time starts running. Perfect for spontaneous activities.
2.2 Book times directly from the detail manager
Whether project, ticket or task: times can now be recorded without switching context.
2.3 Times in draft
Draft mode allows times to be collected first and finalised later.
Benefits:
- flexible daily planning
- ideal for many small tasks
- adjustable at any time
2.4 Weekly upper limit
In addition to the daily limit, there is now also a weekly upper limit – helpful for compliance and internal working time rules.
3. Genua interface – what your feedback achieved
We have evaluated feedback from customer meetings, training sessions and tickets and implemented it directly. The most important findings:
3.1 The new project detail manager
Previously there were two separate areas – now everything is combined in a single, powerful manager.
It can:
- Structure view
- Detail view
- load faster (especially for large projects)
Tip:
- Adapt list views to your own processes
- Clean up submenus to improve the overview
3.2 Filters and lists
The revision was received very positively:
- Columns easier to configure
- Filters tidied up and faster
- significantly more intuitive operation
Tips:
- Use expand/collapse → better overview
- Use filter search → irrelevant fields disappear
- Use “remember elements” → transfer intermediate results between lists
3.3 Multiple selection – two modes
Because requirements vary, there are now two variants:
- Selection + OK
- Immediate selection (Shift for multiple selection)
3.4 Display size
The interface is freely configurable. New: also the font size:
- compact
- standard
- spacious
3.5 Dialogues and input fields
All dialogues have been structured into logical sections. The changeover takes a moment – but brings:
- clearer structures
- better orientation
- more comprehensible inputs
3.6 Sidebar replaces the footer
An important step for modern navigation:
- central functions
- more space for content
- consistent operation
4. Controlling & reports – better forecasts, clearer figures
4.1 Invoice analysis with forecast
New: future income can now be automatically forecast:
- Forecast
- Balance including forecast
This improves:
- Forecasts
- Liquidity planning
- Project evaluation
4.2 New working days analysis
The analysis shows holidays, sick days, absences and much more per month or year.
Ideal for HR, project management and the management team.
As with other analysis pairs:
- Detail list → data basis
- Analysis → aggregated view
4.3 HR data: read permissions at field level
User groups can now selectively read individual HR fields – without edit permissions.
More transparency, but controlled.
5. Automation – less routine, more flow
5.1 Bank accounts: new types and central maintenance
To improve the automation of bank information and payment processes, bank accounts now have special types:
- Employee accounts
- Customer accounts
- Revenue accounts
Employee accounts are maintained centrally and used for billing – without duplicate data.
5.2 Employee billing as a batch transfer
Billings can be collected, exported and handed over to the bank.
Supports two purposes:
- Payment run
- Payroll accounting
Important: account details must be maintained correctly.
5.3 Transfer planned travel costs
Approved travel requests can now be transferred to the travel expense report with just a few clicks.
Result:
- fewer errors
- faster process
- less manual work
Conclusion
This release was particularly special – not only because of its scope, but because so many improvements came directly from your feedback.
We wish you much enjoyment with the new features and a relaxed, productive Advent season.
