Digitization is promoted
Small and medium-sized enterprises in Germany can benefit from various funding programmes for digitalization. The two most important are “Go Digital” and “Digital Jetzt” from the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi). There are also many other programs that are offered in the individual federal states. Here we give you an overview of how you can digitize your company with projectfacts and save money thanks to digital grants.
“Digital Now” funding model
The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi ) is supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with a new digital funding program. Entitled “Digital Jetzt – Investitionsförderung für KMU”, the programme offers financial grants for the digitalization of companies until the end of 2023.
Investments in small and medium-sized enterprises (including craft businesses and the liberal professions) are supported by the BMWi. The program is intended to encourage companies to invest more in digital technologies and the qualification of their employees.
Subsidized are:
- Investments in digital technologies and
- Investment in employee training on digital topics

“Go Digital” funding model
Throughout Germany, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) receive support for the digitalization of their business. However, what and how much depends on the individual federal states. Some federal states offer grants, vouchers, credits and loans.
The Germany-wide Go Digital funding model offers companies funding for advice on the topic of digitalization. At the end of this article, you will find the link to the respective funding programs for each federal state.
