Summary of the “Digital Now” funding model
Who is supported?
Eligible are:
- medium-sized companies
- with 3 to 499 employees
- from all sectors (including craft businesses and freelance professions),
- planning digitization projects (investments in software/hardware or employee training).
What is the funding rate?
Corresponding digitization projects are subsidized with a funding rate of up to 55%. The maximum funding amount is 50,000 euros (or 100,000 euros in value creation networks). The exact scale depending on company size can be found in the following table:
- Up to 50 employees: up to 40%
- Up to 250 employees: up to 35
- Up to 499 employees: up to 30
The funding rate also increases for …
- Companies in a value chain or value network (+ 5 %)
- Investments in IT security and data protection (+ 5 %)
- Companies in structurally weak regions (+ 10 %)
What requirements must be met?
- The company must have a permanent establishment or branch in Germany where the investment is made.
- The project must not have started at the time of funding approval.
- Once approved, it must generally be implemented within twelve months.
- The company must be able to prove the use of the funding.

How do I receive the financial support?
In the funding application, the company presents a digitization plan. This must include the following information:
- Description of the digitization project
- Explanation of the type and number of qualification measures
- Current status of digitization in the company
- Objectives to be achieved with the investment
- Description of how the project specifically strengthens the company
