projectfacts as a Progressive Web App
Use projectfacts for all your business processes as a Progressive Web App (PWA) from now on.
What is a Progressive Web App?
A web app is a normal website with the following additional features:
- A web app provides an icon and name for the iOS home screen
- It can be installed and then used without a browser menu bar and address bar (it runs in full screen)
A Progressive Web App (PWA) is a web app that additionally offers the following features:
- If the user is offline, the app can still be opened (projectfacts will then display a notice).
- The PWA uses techniques to start particularly quickly.
projectfacts is always a Progressive Web App – even when it is not “installed”.
What are the advantages of installing it?
projectfacts starts faster. And not only because opening the login form is skipped, since many of the required data are already stored on the device. This is especially useful on mobile devices – the increased screen area also comes into play here.
But installing it on the desktop is also worthwhile: the presence of the Progressive Web App in the taskbar means users won’t forget to log their hours or maintain their tickets.
