Successfully managing projects in the home office
Let customer enquiries escalate in the ticket system after a certain period of time and improve response times in support.
Managing projects from home may seem almost impossible at first glance, because coordinating a team in the home office is considerably more difficult than in the office. Spontaneous questions or the weekly meeting in the office are no longer possible. When several projects are running at the same time, it becomes difficult to keep track of everything. To prevent projects from falling behind schedule and to ensure that they can continue efficiently in the home office, there are digital solutions like projectfacts. With projectfacts you can easily manage your projects from home. The online system supports you not only with projects, but also with communication and administration of the project team.
My Projects
In projectfacts, under the menu item “My Projects” you get a list view of all projects in which you are scheduled. Here you have the option of filtering the list according to various aspects in order to find the project you are looking for more quickly or to adjust the information content of the list to your needs. In addition, you benefit from a traffic light system. If, for example, the schedule is exceeded, the software gives you a warning. This way you can already recognise in the project overview where complications might arise. You are immediately informed and can intervene to prevent further deviations. This gives you a quick overview of your personal projects even from home.
Project overview
The project overview is particularly suitable for project controlling. Here you can see all projects that have been released for you. Unlike My Projects, this list is not limited to projects in which you have an active role. Here too you benefit from the filter function, which lets you filter exactly by the criteria you currently need. In the project overview you have the option of creating directories for different categories or departments, such as day-to-day business, internal processes or development. One of the most important points in the overview is the project status, which you can view there directly.
The project
If you need more detailed information about a project, you can call it up directly via one of the list views described. Here you have access to the detailed structure plan, the Gantt chart. You also get at a glance the most important information about the project such as the project number, customer, booked times and much more.
Here too you can filter and configure the view completely individually and choose which columns, and thus which information, you want to see there. You could integrate all information into one view, provided you have a large enough screen. To make it easier to keep track, projectfacts already has various views pre-configured with frequently needed focus areas. Three of the most frequently used views can be found below:
Under Structure you will find the familiar Gantt chart, which shows you among other things the timelines of a project and its parts. projectfacts makes it easier to keep track of the planned timeframe and the progress at all levels of the project, right down to the individual work packages.
At the centre of every project planning and monitoring are the budgets. To be able to assess the success of a project, information about time spent, costs incurred and the like is indispensable. In projectfacts you can immediately see how much time you still have available to complete a project, how high the expenditure and total costs are, and what revenues stand against them.
