With projectfacts 6.7, the possibilities for recording potential revenues and later comparing them with the actual services rendered have been expanded. We present our new revenue planning feature.
Plan revenues in more detail
With the new planning feature, you can not only enter planned revenues at a specific point in time X, but also distribute them over a period. In addition, you can store a probability for the revenues and designate a project as a cost carrier.

The cost centers of the revenues can also be planned — and you are not limited to just one. You can enter multiple cost centers and specify what share each cost center is expected to have of the planned revenues.
You can then distribute the revenues over a time period either using our planning assistant or manually. Once you have recorded your potential revenues in the system this way, the planning overview provides you with a forecast of all possible revenues, broken down by your cost centers.

Comparing planned and actual revenues
The quality of good planning only becomes apparent when the present catches up with it and plan and actual figures can be compared. With the analysis feature, the potential revenues can be compared, among other things, with the actual hours worked and their value. This shows you how well you have leveraged your potential.

The plan-versus-actual comparison always comes at the end of revenue planning, but the possibilities of our new feature do not end there. The planning can be linked with many elements such as documents and similar items. This allows you to track the development of a potential revenue not only by comparing the initial and final values, but also at all the key stages that take place in between.
