Setting Up & Restricting Time Budgets in Projects
Adhering to time budgets is essential for successful projects. Set limits and get alerted when an overrun is imminent.
Strict cap or warnings on overrun – always keep an eye on the time status of your projects
What happens with time tracking when the previously defined project times are exceeded? You can simply define this yourself. projectfacts offers you three different options for this:
1. The project can be freely overbooked
Even if the defined project time is exceeded, all team members can book their times to the project.
2. You receive warnings on overrun
Time tracking works for all team members even when the budget is exhausted; however, you will be informed with warnings.
3. Strict cap
Once the project’s budget limit is reached, no further time recording can take place within the project.
Defined limits can always refer to the total time as well as to the billable time.
This ensures that projects which get out of hand due to non-billable hours can still be billed fairly and transparently.
You set the caps in the project details under framework conditions.
