Setting Up Short-Time Work in projectfacts

Has your company had to switch to short-time work due to the economic situation? We show you how to set this up in projectfacts.

The current economic situation is forcing many companies to make cutbacks. For this reason, it is possible, among other things, to apply to the Federal Employment Agency for short-time working arrangements.

Short-time work may be used under certain conditions. Employees receive a wage compensation of 60%–67% of their net income. In addition to the successful application, the short-time work of employees must also be recorded and documented. This is possible in the time recording system of projectfacts.

How to set up short-time work for employees

Directly in the employee’s detail manager

The most important data for your employees is stored in the HR module. In addition to the employee master data, the contract data of the employees is also maintained there, among other things. In the employee’s detail manager you will find the HR Analysis tab. One of the timelines reflects the contract data and working hours of the employee.

Using the plus button you can create a contract period. It is best to set a start date and an end date.

All contract data of the employee is automatically transferred. Next to the field for weekly working hours you will find the short-time work field. Here you enter the employee’s new weekly working hours. That’s it.

After the end date of the short-time work, the employee’s original contract period simply continues.

Important: The employee’s actual contract data remains in place and is only temporarily extended by the short-time work. This also makes a comparison between the two values possible.

In the employee list via multiple selection

In principle, the setup process is analogous to the procedure described above. The only difference is that via the multiple selection you can adjust several employees or your entire team at once. This saves time. To do so, activate the multiple selection, then click on Short-Time Work and select the relevant employees.

A dialogue box now opens in which you can set the short-time working hours for the employees. Here too with a start and end date.

The employee’s view in time recording

The employee can now see in their time recording that they are on short-time work on this working day.
