Definition

The term knowledge management deals with the acquisition, development, transfer, safeguarding and use of knowledge. This systematic capture of knowledge is an important success factor for a company. On the one hand, it is a component of quality management in accordance with DIN ISO 9001; on the other hand, it also serves to accelerate innovation.

Knowledge management has the task of building a knowledge database, disseminating it and developing it further. This can be achieved effectively through modern collaboration tools.

The aim is to increase competitiveness. Through trained specialist staff, information can be made available directly within the company and innovations can thus be implemented more quickly.
