Browser

Definition

A browser is a programme with which you can open web pages on the Internet. You can then switch between millions of pages with the help of hyperlinks.

In the upper area of the browser there is an address bar for calling up Internet pages, also called URL. With operating elements such as forward and back buttons, a defined start page or bookmarks, the manufacturers enable intuitive operation.

Frequently used browsers are Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge or Safari.
