GDPR

The General Data Protection Regulation, or GDPR, is a set of EU (European Union) laws that came into force in May 2018. They apply to companies based in the EU and deal with the collection and storage of private data of individuals. Information may therefore only be collected if the relevant individuals have given their consent.

The GDPR was introduced to standardise data collection across Europe, especially on the internet, and thus offers more transparency about the further processing of private information.
