Resource planning

In a project, resource planning (also known as "resource planning") ensures that all the necessary resources are always available during the project. These include, for example, workstations, machines, materials, employees and working time.

There are two perspectives for planning these - the short-term and the long-term perspective:

In the short-term perspective, only resources required for the project are determined, while the long-term perspective considers the entire product life cycle and responds to changes.

With good resource planning, bottlenecks can be avoided through early intervention and employees can be specifically scheduled in advance.
