In the case of a grant, SMEs can receive funding rates of 30% to 80% of the eligible expenditure as a non-repayable grant, depending on the program. These grants are also limited to maximum amounts. The maximum amount also varies between the federal states.
Credit
Some federal states offer loans with a low interest rate and a term of up to 10 years. Depending on the loan, repayment subsidies or liability exemptions are granted.

Summary of the “Go Digital” funding model
Who is supported?
Eligible applicants are SMEs in the commercial and craft sectors with up to 250 employees, as well as start-ups and freelancers.
Who gets which funding rate depends on the size of the company. Only loans for digitization are available for large companies.
What is supported?
In general, the aim of all funding programs is to support companies in the digital transformation of their production and work processes and to improve their IT security.
The areas of production and processes, products and services or strategy and organization must be digitized as part of the digitization progress. One aim of promoting digitalization is to improve the competitiveness of companies.
How do I receive the financial support?
An application must be submitted for each program in order to receive funding. For this purpose, the funding programs usually have forms online on the website that must be filled out. If the application is approved, the measures can be implemented. After implementation, the project is settled and the grant is received from the project sponsor.
