What is not the focus? – Limitations and deliberate decisions

projectfacts is not an all-round ERP in the classical sense. Our solution was tailored specifically to service companies. Therefore there are also areas in which we deliberately do not place the emphasis:

1. Not accounting software in the narrow sense

projectfacts offers preparatory functions for financial accounting (e.g. account assignment, invoice run, payments). However, full financial accounting (e.g. balance sheet, profit and loss, chart of accounts) is not part of the scope of functions. We leave these tasks to specialised financial systems such as DATEV, to which a connection via interface is possible.

2. No focus on merchandise management & logistics

If you are a company with warehousing, production, logistics or complex inventory management, projectfacts is not the ideal solution. Our strengths lie in the management of services.

3. Not an e-commerce solution

projectfacts does offer CRM, quotation and invoicing functions, but no shop systems or typical e-commerce workflows such as shopping baskets, payment provider integration or returns management. For such scenarios we recommend the use of other systems.

4. Helpful additions, but not the core

We see projectfacts as an all-in-one solution. Therefore we have integrated a number of functions that help you in handling your core business. These include features such as the wiki, the chat and the forum as well as file storage. They support your employees and core processes, but are not the main focus of the software. So if, for example, you are specifically looking for a document management system, we recommend turning to providers who specialise in this.
