An autoreply (also auto reply) refers to an automatic response to incoming emails or tickets. These are sent based on a pre-defined rule.

Automatic replies are used in many areas, e.g. for out-of-office notifications, delivery confirmations, order confirmations, etc.

It is always advantageous for a company to send a professional autoreply message to the prospective customer or client in order to signal: “We are taking care of your request!”
