Definition
In information technology (IT), a network defines a connection. It consists of at least two computer systems. This connection can be established via cable or wirelessly (e.g. WLAN). A network thus enables the exchange and use of shared resources.
The simplest definition of a network is the connection of two computers with a cable. This is also referred to as a peer-to-peer network.
Via the internet, e.g. through a router, entire home networks can be set up, connecting computers, printers, televisions and other devices with each other.
